Pflugerville Community Development Corp.'s Poch takes job in Decatur

Mary Poch will end her nearly four-year tenure as business recruitment specialist for the Pflugerville Community Development Corp. on Dec. 27 to take a position in Decatur, Texas.

Poch joined the PCDC in January 2010 to aid in marketing and business recruitment in the public and private sectors. During her time in Pflugerville, Poch said she has learned that economic development is a team effort.

"In order to have success in bringing in business and helping businesses expand, it really takes a group effort by all the organizations that have an impact in the city," she said. "Pflugerville is blessed to have that, where the mayor and council, our PCDC board and various entities that speak in leadership, are all headed in the same direction."

She will take over as the executive director of the Decatur Economic Development Corp. on Jan. 6.
