The Heights of Tomball rehabilitation and skilled nursing community is now open.

The community, located at 27840 Johnson Road off Business 249 in Tomball, is a 131-bed community with 30 private rooms.

"The Heights of Tomball is the latest innovation in rehabilitation and long term design," said Nancy Wood, Regional Director of Operations. "The community offers many amenities and comforts that residents have long deserved and needed during this transitional time in their lives."

The Heights of Tomball, owned by Touchstone Communities of San Antonio, has a private beauty salon and a modern therapy department with a state-of-the-art gym, said Sam Planta, chief culture officer with Touchstone Communities.

In addition, the community has an outdoor activity area with walking tracks and gardens.

"Our grounds are really safe and secure and beautiful," Planta said.

Touchstone Communities chose Tomball because of its growth.

"Tomball is such a thriving community and we identified there was going to be a need for more rehabilitation care and long-term care," Planta said.

The community will employ nearly 150 team members to run the Tomball location, said Stan Studer, Jr., Touchstone's CEO.

"Services at The Heights of Tomball will be beyond what the people in this part of Tomball and the surrounding areas have ever seen," Studer said. "We are proud to be helping the people of this area and their families who need rehabilitation and long-term care services."
