Organizers of the Twin Lakes Family YMCA's Cedar Park Fall Festival announced Oct. 16 that activities have been postponed until Nov. 9 due to inclement weather.

The festival was scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 onsite at the YMCA, 205 E. Little Elm Trail in Cedar Park. Carley LaRue, YMCA health and fitness director, said the fields are too muddy and wet for the festival, which was expected to draw about 8,000 visitors and 55 vendors.

"There is so much standing water on the fields, we don't feel like they will recover in time," LaRue said. "We are concerned with where folks will park and if you get thousands of feet on that wet field, our facility will be destroyed."

Activities at the Cedar Park Fall Festival, set for noon–9 p.m. Nov. 9, include hay rides, bounce houses, carnival games, a petting zoo and vendor fair.

The YMCA's Cedar Park 5 Miler race planned for Sunday, Oct. 20 is still on schedule, LaRue said. The race benefits the Y Strong Kids Campaign and starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Buttercup Creek shopping center, 200 Buttercup Creek Blvd., Ceda
