Several portions of Hwy. 290 will be closed periodically throughout the week of Oct. 14–20 as construction crews continue work on the Hwy. 290 widening project.

Hwy. 290 eastbound from Beltway 8 to Gessner Road will be closed nightly from 10 p.m.–5 a.m. Oct. 14–17. Drivers will be required to detour to the frontage road and re-enter Hwy. 290 past Gessner Road, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The Beltway 8 northbound and southbound connector ramps to Hwy. 290 eastbound will be closed nightly from 10 p.m.–5 a.m. Oct. 14–17. Drivers can detour to Hwy. 290 westbound, exit Jones Road and make a U-turn. Additionally, the westbound connector ramp to Beltway 8 westbound will be closed nightly from 10 p.m.–5 a.m. Oct. 17–Oct. 20.

Additionally, several Hwy. 290 frontage roads in Cy-Fair will be closed during overnight hours this week. One inside lane on the westbound frontage road from FM 1960 to Huffmeister Road will be closed nightly from 10 p.m.–5 p.m. Oct. 15–17, requiring drivers to detour to the Telge Road exit.

One outside frontage lane from Spring Cypress to Cypress Rosehill will be closed daily from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Oct. 14–Oct. 18, and one inside lane on the westbound frontage road from Fairfield Place to Bauer Road will be closed from 7 a.m.–4 p.m. Oct. 14–18.
