Lane closures on two portions of Hwy. 290 will continue the weekend of Oct. 4–6.
The eastbound lanes of Hwy. 290 at Bauer Road will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. Oct. 4, while the westbound lanes will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Oct. 5. Both sides of the highway will be closed through 5 a.m. Oct. 7. Drivers will be required to exit the highway at the Bauer Road exit, continue through the intersection, and re-enter Hwy. 290.
The highway will be closed so construction crews can work to hang bridge beams for the direct connectors from Hwy. 290 to the Grand Parkway Segment E.
There will also be nightly lane closures on Hwy. 290 east and westbound at W. Little York Road this weekend as construction crews work to rebuilt the bridge over the roadway. According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the first half of the bridge project is expected to be completed by mid-November.
There will be intermittent closures from 10 p.m.–8 a.m. on the eastbound lanes at W. Little York Oct. 4, and there will be three inside lanes closed Oct. 5 from 10 p.m.–8 a.m. from Beltway 8 to Gessner Road.
The westbound side of Hwy. 290 at W. Little York will also see intermittent closures from 10 p.m.–8 a.m. Oct. 5, and from 10 p.m.–5 a.m. Oct. 6.
