Megan Martin has been named principal of the Stepping Stone School's Brodie Lane campus for the 2013–14 school year, according to Mary Paver, the school's vice president of operations.

Martin, who assumed the role July 8, brings several years of experience in teaching young children and managing operations to the 9405 Brodie Lane school.

Martin has a Bachelor's Degree from University of Memphis in Education and a Master's Degree from Texas State University in Early Childhood Development.

Kim Solis, who has served as a Stepping Stone principal for the past five years, is leaving the school, citing health reasons.

"I thank and commend Kim for her excellent leadership and dedication to the children, families, staff and community of Stepping Stone School," the school's founder and Executive Director Rhonda Paver said in a letter to the school's families. "She has shown a level of love, service, talent and influence that will long impact the halls of our schools."

Katie Schon will continue to serve as assistant principal.
