iPadpalooza
For the second consecutive year, Eanes ISD hosted iPadpalooza with a focus on ways schools have integrated iPads into classrooms.
The event, held June 18–19 at Westlake High School, 4100 Westbank Drive, Austin, featured keynote speaker Sir Ken Robinson, a New York Times bestselling author.
The festival celebrates the cultural shift iPads have brought to the education world. The festival featured more than 100 sessions, six bands, hundreds of downloadable applications and several food trucks.

Young thespians entertained audiences June 20–30 at Richard Garriott's Curtain Theater, 7400 Coldwater Canyon Drive, Austin, with eight performances of "Romeo and Julieta," a Shakespearean romantic tragedy with Spanish-language touches.
