On the second Sunday of each month, the master-planned community of Bridgeland hosts its farmers market to bring fresh produce and merchandise to residents and visitors alike. On June 9, the market will feature the handcrafted artisan beers of No Label Brewing Co.—a family owned microbrewery in the Katy area—in addition to the regular offerings.
"We are a local business trying to grow—just as others are—at the farmers market," said Jennifer Royo, co-owner of No Label Brewing. "I think it's wonderful when someone can meet the person who actually made the product themselves."
No Label will offer several options from their repertoire of craft brews such as Ridegback Amber Ale, El Hefe Hefeweizen, Mint IPA and Pale Horse Pale Ale. The local brewery has participated in farmers markets in The Woodlands and Katy, but this will be its first venture to a Northwest Houston market.
"We are looking forward to working with Bridgeland for this event," Royo said.
Located near the Bridgeland Activity Center at 16902 Bridgeland Landing from 12:30–3:30 p.m., the farmers market will offer a live cooking demonstration at 1 p.m hosted by culinary team Kitchen Coaches as well as a new vendor—Jim's World of Worms, which sells worm castings to assist with plant growth.
Seasonal produce for sale includes blackberries, blueberries and melons along with tomatoes, peppers and summer squash.
