Flags are flying on Grapevine Main Street today for Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week.

RaDonna Hessel of the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce said she's getting lots of inquiries about them, so she sent out an explanation.

The week celebrates local, state and federal officers and the memorial itself actually is today.

It was created in 1961.
