The popular Torchy's Tacos quick-serve restaurant chain is planning to open its newest Austin-area location May 16 in Round Rock.

Located at 2150 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Ste. 100, the Round Rock restaurant will be the eighth Torchy's location in Central Texas, in addition to the food trailer park location the company maintains on First Street in Austin.

Torchy's specializes in unique taco recipes using ingredients such as fried avocado, grilled jalapeo sausage and Jamaican jerk chicken. In celebration of its grand opening in Round Rock, Torchy's will be offering one free breakfast item to customers between 7–10 a.m., and will hold a raffle for a customer to win free tacos for a year.

The new restaurant's hours will be Mon.–Thu. 7 a.m.–10 p.m., Fri. 7 a.m.–11 p.m., Sat. 8 a.m.–11 p.m. and Sun. 8 a.m.–10 p.m. For more information, call 512-381-0173 or visit www.torchystacos.com.
