Bee Cave elects three new council members

Voters selected three new Bee Cave City Council members May 11 in Michelle Bliss, Kara King and Paul Kline, according to unofficial results.

Bliss, King and Kline won out over councilman and Mayor Pro Tem Jack McCool, councilman Bill Goodwin and Chad Wilbanks.

The City of Bee Cave selects council members at large instead of by district. The top three vote getters were elected.

Bliss received 390 votes or 17.8 percent of the vote, while King and Kline received 591 votes, or 27.02 percent, and 472, or 21.58 percent, respectively.

McCool garnered 228 votes or 10.43 percent of the vote, while Goodwin and Wilbanks received 333 votes (15.23 percent) and 173 votes (7.91 percent) respectively.

All vote totals are unofficial until canvassed.

According to early voting numbers Michelle Bliss, Kara King and Paul Kline lead the race for the three available seats on Bee Cave City Council.

Former Bee Cave Zoning and Planning Commission member Bliss received 230 early votes while King and Kline received 412 and 360 early votes, respectively.

Incumbents Bill Goodwin and Jack McCool received 201 and 147 early votes respectively. Chad Wilbanks garnered 94 early votes.
