Matt Kormann and Chris Archer defeated their opponents Tuesday night to win positions on the Carroll ISD board of trustees, according to unofficial totals from the Tarrant County Elections Administration.

Korman won 60.4 percent of the vote to opponent Sam Torolopolous's 39.6 percent in Place 6. Archer had 59.7 percent compared to Jim Palazzo's 40.3 percent in Place 7.

Kormann, vice president of sales for a Dallas company, said school safety, fiscal responsibility and better partnership with the Southlake City Council were his priorities.

Archer, vice president/shareholder of Associated Time and Parking Controls, listed financial integrity as a priority, along with a "kids first" mentality on the board and working together with the City of Southlake.

Results are unofficial until canvassed.
