  • Continue balanced quality development that benefits citizens as well as generates revenue to the city.
  • When I was first elected, I promised the citizens to always be accessible and open minded to any concerns, suggestions and questions. I have stayed true to that promise.

Grapevine–Colleyville ISD: Election cancelled

Incumbent school board members Karen Deakin and Lisa Pardo drew no opposition.

Terms are for three years with no term limits.

The other members of the board are: Jorge Rodriguez, board president; Kimberley Davis,; Leon Leal; Becky St. John; and Jesse G. Rodriguez.


Colleyville City Council: Election cancelled

Incumbents: Mayor David Kelly will continue for another three-year term, as will City Council member Carol Wollin. Neither drew opposition. There are no term limits in Colleyville.

Besides Wollin and newcomer Chuck Mogged, below, the council members are: Stan Hall, Tom Hart, Jody Short and Mike Taylor.

Top priorities:

  • Update the comprehensive long-term master plan to support our quality of life without incurring debt or higher tax rates.
  • Ensure that smart growth and appropriate development projects are brought into Colleyville with no additional taxpayer burden.
  • Improve public safety. Although Colleyville now has the lowest crime rate in Tarrant County, maintaining that achievement is not automatic. I am currently enrolled in the Citizen's Police Academy. School safety needs to be ensured though good cooperation with the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD.

Southlake City Council: Election cancelled

Incumbents Al Zito and Jeff Wang chose not to run for re-election, and the candidates running for their positions face no opposition. Incumbent Brandon Bledsoe drew no opposition. Terms are for three years and are limited to two successive years.

New members fill expired council seats of Al Zito and Jeff Wang, who did not run for re-election.

  • Shared savings opportunities. Whether it is between the city and the school district, businesses or other cities, I think there is tremendous opportunity to share facilities, streamline duplicate operations and to explore more efficient ways of doing things.

Carroll ISD: Place 6

Four candidates are running for two seats on the Carroll ISD School board. Members John Thane and Sherri Williamson decided not to seek re-election after their terms expired this year. Thane announced in a February letter to taxpayers that he would not run.
