A $3 million water and sewer relocation project along Colleyville Boulevard is expected to start in May.

The City Council, at its April 2 meeting, approved funding for the work, which must be done before the next phase of reconstruction on Hwy. 26 or Colleyville Boulevard.

The second phase of that project, scheduled to start in 2014, is expected to extend from John McCain Road to Hall Johnson Road.

The water and sewer line relocation approved April 2 will be from John McCain Road to Centerpark Drive.

City officials expect traffic disruption to be minimal because the lines are not in the roadway. But they cautioned businesses that driveways may be temporarily closed.
