A three-story Holiday Inn Express is slated for a site in the Trails at 620 development near Flores Mexican Restaurant. Four Points Lodging Inc. closed on the location in December and construction may start in the early fall, with a groundbreaking possibly in August or September.

"We're excited about being in the Trails at 620 development and its proximity for guests to walk to a restaurant or catch a movie," said Riyaz Bhiawala, registered agent for Four Points Lodging Inc. "It's a unique draw—that convenience."

The 80-room, 45,000-square-foot hotel is planned to include a covered pool area and patio on the building's back side with views of preserve land, Bhaiwala said. The exterior of the hotel will be stone and stucco, and the interior will likely house a meeting space, fitness center, business center and great room for a full breakfast, Bhaiwala said.

"We've had our eye on this area for several years," Bhaiwala said. "We thought [the Trails at 620] would be a great place now that development is there and new things are opening up. We're looking forward to making [the hotel] attractive to fit into the whole development."

The 69-acre Trails at 620 development is located at RR 620 and Wilson Parke Avenue, near RR 2222.
