Owners bring Spanish-style empanadas to Cy–Fair

Even though they opened their doors only three months ago, Nick Puig and Michael Sido of Yummy Mpanadas have made a name for themselves in Cy–Fair. The business has participated in several events, ranging from pairing with local high schools to raising more than $1,000 for cancer awareness.

Yummy Mpanadas has plans for growth in 2013. Several of the increasingly popular homemade sauces are slated to be picked up by local grocers and corner stores.

"People here have never tried food like this, and we have plenty of options for everyone," Puig said.

The location will offer drive-thru service, and the owners hope to make empanadas the new kolache.
