Republicans appeared to defeat their Libertarian opponents for several Texas House seats in Denton and Tarrant counties, unofficial election results showed Wednesday.
In Texas House District 63, which includes a few voters in Southlake, incumbent Republican Tan Parker won about 85 percent of the vote, while his opponent, Libertarian Bruce Hermann had about 15 percent.
In District 92, which includes Colleyville, incumbent Republican Jonathan Stickland won about 81 percent of the vote, appearing to defeat opponent Sean Fatzinger, a Libertarian.
In District 98 in Tarrant County, Republican Giovanni Capriglione had 86 percent of the vote, appearing to defeat Libertarian Michael Goolsby.
Terms in the Texas House are two years.
All results are unofficial until canvassed.
