GoodFellows, a gluten-free prepared meals store, opened Oct. 2 in Northwest Austin.

GoodFellows, located at 8863 Anderson Mill Road, offers gluten-free prepared meals such as chicken cannelloni, lasagna, chicken gumbo and Bombay shrimp soup. The facility also makes breads, desserts and fresh organic pastas.

Owner Greg Ray said the facility mills seven types of gluten-free flours in-house.

Ray said he took an interest in gluten-free cooking and baking when his grandchildren were required to have gluten-free diets. He said he is considering opening a GoodFellows cafe in the future, depending on the response to the current facility.

Ray is inviting patrons with or without dietary restrictions to attend a free tasting at the grand opening of GoodFellows from 6–9 p.m Nov. 2.

Hours for GoodFellows are 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
