Reacting to her primary win, Karen Huber said she appreciated the support of voters and looked forward to continuing her work on the Commissioners Court.

With 71 of 71 precincts reporting unofficial results, Travis County Commissioner Karen Huber and former Commissioner Gerald Daugherty have won their respective primaries for Precinct 3.
In the Democratic primary, Huber had 8,066 votes, or 78.99 percent. Albert Gonzales had 2,145 votes, or 21.01 percent.
In the Republican primary, Daugherty had 9,525 votes, or 56.05 percent. Jim Strickland had 6,168 votes or 36.30 percent. Ira Yates had 1,301 votes, or 7.66 percent.
In electing Huber and Daugherty in their respective primaries, Western Travis County voters have set up a rematch of the 2008 election.

With 51 of 71 precincts reporting unofficial results, Community Impact Newspaper is projecting Commissioner Karen Huber to win the Democratic primary and Gerald Daugherty to win the Republican primary for Precinct 3.
Huber has 6,925 votes, or 78.76 percent. Albert Gonzales has 1,868 votes, or 21.24 percent.
Huber was unable to be reached for comment on Tuesday night.
Daugherty has 7,807 votes, or 56.55 percent. Jim Strickland has 4,949 votes, or 35.85 percent. Ira Yates has 1,049 votes, or 7.60 percent.
When reached by phone Tuesday night, Daugherty said that he was pleased with the early voting and precinct results.
He praised his opponents as friends and good people.

With 25 out of 71 precincts reporting, Commissioner Karen Huber is maintaining her early vote lead over Democratic challenger Albert Gonzales, according to unofficial results from Travis County.
Huber has 5,249 votes, or 78.17 percent. Gonzales has 1,466 votes, or 21.83 percent.
Republican candidate Gerald Daugherty is holding on to his majority from early voting with 6,039 votes, or 57.42 percent. Jim Strickland has 3,674 votes, or 34.93 percent. Ira Yates has 805 votes, or 7.65 percent.

Commissioner Karen Huber won more than three-quarters of early votes of registered Democrats, according to unofficial results from Travis County.
Huber won 3,537 votes, or 77.55 percent. Albert Gonzales won 1,024 votes, or 22.45 percent.
Among registered Republicans, Gerald Daugherty won 4,764 votes, or 59.39 percent of early votes.
Jim Strickland won 2,697 votes, or 33.62 percent, and Ira Yates won 560 votes, or 6.98 percent.

In the May 29 primary, three Republicans and two Democrats are running for the chance to represent Precinct 3 on the Travis County Commissioners Court.
Commissioner Karen Huber, the incumbent, faces challenger Albert Gonzales for the Democratic nod.
