Unofficial voting results show David Moore beating Lyn Weingarten in the West Lake Hills Place 5 City Council race.

Moore, a member of West Lake Hills' Zoning and Planning Commission, had 60 percent of the vote, according to preliminary results. Weingarten had 40 percent of the vote, according to preliminary results.

The special election was to fill the seat left vacant by Davin Fillpot. Fillpot resigned from the Place 5 seat to become the West Lake Hills city planner.
