Data: Lake Travis water level has risen

Between Feb. 1 and April 29, Lake Travis rose by approximately 12 feet.

"It's a welcome change, but Lake Travis is still a long way from being full and even from its April average," said Clara Tuma, public information officer for the Lower Colorado River Authority, which manages lakes Travis and Buchanan under a state-approved water management plan. "We are now operating under emergency drought relief approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and have submitted a proposed new water management plan under consideration by TCEQ now."

The lake was at 638.75 feet above mean sea level on April 29. The average water level in April is 671.19 feet msl. The historic low was in 1951 at 614.18 feet msl, and its historic high was 710.44 feet msl in 1991.
