The Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District will be hosting its 50th Anniversary celebration of consolidation on Thursday.

The event includes a tour of the GCISD Administration Building and features student exhibits and memorabilia displays.

Past and present school district leaders will also be recognized at the event from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the GCISD Administration Building, 3051 Ira E. Woods Ave. in Grapevine.

History records indicate the school district became officially known as Grapevine-Colleyville ISD in 1975. Colleyville joined Grapevine ISD in 1962.
