Winners of the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority's Green Mobility Challenge presented their eco-friendly road designs for Oak Hill and SH 45 SW at the Oak Hill Association of Neighborhoods' February meeting.

"Basically, everybody applauded, but there was not much [in the presentation] to do with what's next," OHAN Secretary Sandra Baldridge said. "The next step is to go to [the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization] and other bodies and make sure the project moves forward."

City officials have said short-term traffic solutions for Oak Hill will be completed in winter 2013 and alleviate congestion for five to eight years. The green designs would be considered for a long-term solution.
