The Round Rock City Council approved the issuance of $7.8 million in bonds to help pay for the long-awaited indoor sports complex Jan. 26.
The council also gave the nod to Chasco Constructors, a Round Rock-based firm, to build the $12 million complex.
The remaining $4.2 million will be paid out of the city's fund balance, Finance Director Cheryl Delaney said.
The construction plan calls for the complex to be completed by December 2013.
