The Learning Center—a Disciplinary Alternative Educational Placement center at New Caney ISD—will be relocating ahead of the 2025-26 school year, which begins Aug. 6.
What's happening
The center will be opening in a former operations facility that will be renovated, said Scott Powers, NCISD’s executive director of Public Relations, via a May 7 email.
G.T.T. General Contractors will be completing the project, Powers said, and the project is expected to cost $13.2 million, according to an April 3 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
