A new 10,000-square-foot emergency supply warehouse for Montgomery County Precinct 4 will soon be completed in New Caney, said Kennedy Williams, a community outreach staffer with Precinct 4 Commissioner Matt Gray’s Office, via email May 11. Construction is expected to be finished by June 1.

The warehouse will be used to store emergency supplies—such as water and cots—that can be used during natural disasters, as previously reported by Community Impact. Previously, Precinct 4’s emergency supplies were kept in Conroe, but the new warehouse should provide quicker access to needed materials, officials said.

Construction on the warehouse began in May, and the facility is located in the East Montgomery County Industrial Park, as previously reported.
