New Braunfels city facilities to close on Veterans Day

New Braunfels City Hall and other city facilities will be closed Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day, according to a Nov. 4 news release from the city.

The details

The following facilities will also be closed, per the news release:

• Municipal Court
• The Public Library
• Civic & Convention Center
• Parks & Recreation administrative offices
• Fischer Park Nature Center
• Solid Waste and Recycling administrative offices
• City Recycling Center
• Westside Community Center

Also of note

Main Plaza and the surrounding streets will close at 7 a.m. Nov. 9 for the Veterans Day parade. A ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Monument in Prince Solms Park.

Here are additional details regarding Veterans Day, as per the release:

• Residential and commercial garbage and recycling collection will operate as scheduled.
• Das Rec will have modified hours, open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Landa Park Golf Course will operate as usual.
