A new place for gaming and building community is opening in New Braunfels soon.
What you need to know
The Board Game Vault is anticipated to open in Freiheit Village at the end of April.
The business is owned by local Alesha Cribb, who was inspired to open The Board Game Vault after her son grew interested in playing Dungeons and Dragons. Cribb and her family moved to the area three years ago from North Texas—a place where there were not a lot of youth groups in the area, she said.
The Board Game Vault will have over 250 games, such as Warhammer and Dungeons and Dragons, along with American fare and spirits. The business will also have two private spaces patrons can reserve for a few hours to play games.
What the owner is saying
Cribb said the community aspect of The Board Game Vault was important to her.
“I want nothing more than to help build the community,” Cribb told Community Impact. “This for me is also very Christ-centered. There are blessings in every one of these walls.”
She said they are also planning to open on Sundays for families and are looking to host various missionary and youth groups.
