More than $5 million in business development investments will create 38 new jobs in New Braunfels.

The McCoy Corporation announced Oct. 29 that it will expand its New Braunfels-based door and millwork operation by investing $5.75 million to retrofit an existing 102,940-square-foot facility.

The upgraded facility is expected to increase warehouse space and production capacity for McCoy’s existing facility, which supplies more than 70 McCoy’s Building Supplies stores with interior and exterior pre-hung door units.

According to the New Braunfels Economic Development Corporation, an additional $250,000 grant will be issued to McCoy Corporation in order to hire 38 additional local employees by year five.

“A large part of the employees live in the greater New Braunfels area,” said Chester Jenke, New Braunfels EDC Vice President. “This expansion helps provide an opportunity for our residents to find good-paying, local jobs and keeps our local McCoy’s producing millwork products in New Braunfels.”

The McCoy Corporation is one of the largest private building-supply companies in the nation with annual sales of $886 million in 2018. McCoy’s operates a total of 88 stores in five states; distribution centers in Burnet, Pharr and Midland; and millwork facilities in New Braunfels and McAllen.
