As fall approaches, check out 13 events planned in and around McKinney during August and September.
1. Nitty Gritty Jazz Band
Check out the Nitty Gritty Jazz Band and their New Orleans-style jazz and blues at the Celt Irish Pub in McKinney.
2. SoTenn Block Party and Night Market
Enjoy local food trucks, live music, market vendors and artists' tents at the SoTenn Block Party in downtown McKinney. The McKinney Chupacabras will make a special appearance.
3. Taylor Swift tribute concert
North Texas-based Taylor Swift tribute band Reputation will perform a free concert at Hub 121. Taylor Swift’s hits include “You Belong with Me” and “Blank Space."
4. The Mystical Market
This market with a metaphysical twist will offer goods from various vendors as well as music and food trucks.

5. McKinney Latin Music Festival
Head to Tupps Brewery to dance to Tejano, conjunto and cumbia music at the McKinney Latin Music Festival. Eight Latin musical acts will perform, including Latin Breed and Jay Perez.
6. Art and Wine Stroll
Sip a vintage wine while perusing artwork from local artists. All tickets include 15 1-ounce wine tastes from Landon Winery at participating shops.
7. Millhouse Makers Market
Shop merchandise from local craftsmen and artisans at the Millhouse Makers Market inside the McKinney Cotton Mill's atrium hallway. Products will include jewelry, candles, textiles, photographs and more.
8. An evening with Shinyribs
Enjoy a concert from Austin-based blues and R&B band Shinyribs at the McKinney Performing Arts Center. Shinyribs was named “Best Austin Band” in the 2018 Austin Music Awards.
9. ’90s Night with The Flannel Pajamas
Head to Tupps Brewery for a night of ’90s classics. North Texas-based cover band The Flannel Pajamas will perform the hits from the decade.
10. Abba tribute concert
Abba tribute band Super Trouper will perform a free concert at Hub 121. Abba was a Swedish pop band formed in the 1970’s, with hits including “Dancing Queen” and “Waterloo”.
11. Sounding Off at the Comedy Arena
Dallas comedian Daniel Shimek will host this variety show featuring several local comedians, including RJ Prince and Jacob Lightboy.
12. McKinney Oktoberfest
Bust out the lederhosen and head to downtown McKinney for Oktoberfest. The festival will feature local food and beverage vendors, including several local breweries.

13. Bon Jovi tribute concert
Head to Barnhill Vineyards in Anna to enjoy a Bon Jovi tribute concert from Houston-based tribute band Let it Rock. The Groovy Chicken & Waffles food truck will be on site, and the vineyard offers Texas wines.
