More improvements are coming to three McKinney ISD campuses.
The McKinney ISD board of trustees approved spending nearly $150,000 for the third phase of campus refreshes at an April 20 meeting.
The district also approved $950,450 to replace the track at McKinney High School.
The details
The district is spending $149,686 in bond funds on campus improvements for Bennett Elementary School and Evans Middle School, district documents state.
Upgrades include landscaping and fencing at Bennett Elementary School and landscaping at Evans Middle School, per district documents.
This comes after the district approved spending approximately $11.3 million on refreshes to these two campuses and McKinney Boyd High School at a March meeting and a January meeting.
These updates, as well as the work approved at earlier meetings this year, will begin on the last day of school, which is May 21, per district documents.

Two lanes of the track have started splitting and pulling away from other running lanes along the east side of the field adjacent to the creek directly east of the campus, district documents state.
