1. Spicy Aroma offers Indian flavors, breakfast buffet in Denton
Indian restaurant Spicy Aroma opened at the Denton Plaza shopping center in early March, a company representative said.
The restaurant offers a variety of Indian dishes, including chicken korma, tikka masala and biryani fried rice, according to the menu. Spicy Aroma also has an unlimited breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays.
Sloan’s Ice Cream opened along Preston Road in late March.
The business offers a variety of sundaes, milkshakes, cookies, brownies, chocolates and other candies. Some of its ice cream flavors include its Luscious Sloan’s Dark, which has chocolate ice cream with brownies, pecans, almonds, peanuts, toffee and caramel, and its Mixed Berry Stracciatella, which has blueberries, raspberries and elderberries with Sloan’s stracciatella.
Chen’s Kitchen is now open in McKinney, a restaurant employee confirmed.
The restaurant serves authentic Chinese dishes with fresh ingredients, according to its website. Chen’s Kitchen sells a variety of appetizers and main dishes like egg rolls, dumplings, beef stir-fry and chow mein.
A new restaurant, Bon Bon Caffe, has opened along Main Street in Grapevine.
The menu includes cafe-style French and Italian options, such as croissants, pizza and gelato. Becks Edgington, a senior mixologist at Bon Bon Caffe, said the bar will also serve charcuterie boards, pastas and tapas-style dishes, in addition to the regular menu. There is also a brunch menu with omelets and champagne towers that will be available on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Monks Indian Fusion is now open, a social media post from the business states.
The restaurant offers Indian and Chinese fusion cuisine, including tandoor dishes, momos and soups. Chinese entrees include chili garlic and Sichuan home style with a variety of proteins to choose from, such as chicken, fish and shrimp, the eatery’s menu states.
Indian entrees include tikka masala, butter masala and vindaloo with a choice of proteins such as paneer, chicken and goat. Other menu items include biryanis, noodle dishes and fried rice dishes, as well as desserts.
6. Yummy Crab plans new location in Frisco
Yummy Crab plans to open a location in Frisco by the end of the year, a company representative confirmed.
The chain offers crab legs, shrimp and crawfish by the pound alongside southern seafood dishes like hush puppies and fried catfish.
7. Bread Zeppelin reopens in Southlake after renovations
The Southlake Bread Zeppelin location has reopened after undergoing renovations.
Company staff said changes include a new drink station, updated paint and polishing the floors. The restaurant had a brief closure while renovations were ongoing before reopening May 19.
Bread Zeppelin serves a selection of salads, including Caesar, a metro cobb, buffalo chicken and more. Salads can be ordered in a bowl or stuffed inside a baguette.
