Tomball Historic Depot Plaza celebrates grand reopening of railroad museum this month

The Tomball Historic Depot Plaza, located at 201 S. Elm St., Tomball, will celebrate the grand reopening this month of its railroad museum, which includes the detailed Z-scale and O-scale model railways where 1 inch measures 220 inches and 48 inches, respectively. Museum additions also include a Speeder Maintenance Shed housing railroading tools and memorabilia from the mid-1950s as well as The Walden Waiting Room, which includes a gallery of railroad illustrations drawn by Ken Walden, a former volunteer station agent at The Depot, according to a news release. The new exhibits will be open to the public on weekends beginning July 21. Admission is free. 281-351-5484.
