Amira, a new 370-acre home community in Tomball, celebrates its grand opening Sept. 28 at 20508 Mueschke Road, Tomball. Grand-opening festivities include tours of six model homes and the Resort at Amira recreation complex, food from Dug Dog Catering and The Color Cone food truck, face painting, giveaways and photo opportunities, according to a Sept. 18 press release. The event, A Day in the Life of Amira, is free to attend and runs from 1-5 p.m.

Home prices start at $200,000 in the 1,000-home community, featuring builders Beazer Homes and Perry Homes, located within Tomball ISD boundaries.
