Comix Cafe, located at 27620 Business 249, Ste. A-6, Tomball, celebrated its soft opening July 24 with the opening of its cafe, offering coffee and baked goods. A grand opening date is yet to be announced. Owners Darrin and Lindsay Stringfield offer a pop-culture hangout spot at Comix Cafe, featuring comic books, table games and card games as well as sweet treats and coffee. The venue is open Mon.-Thu. and Sat. from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Fri. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sun. noon-4 p.m. Game nights will be held Fridays. www.facebook.com/comixcafetx

The conference football season will begin Sept. 26, and fan capacity in stadiums will be up to each of the 10 member universities, according to the Big 12.

The facility will span 10,500 square feet and include a brewery, restaurant, and packaging and distribution space on 4.6 acres in the park with indoor and outdoor space for guests, according to the release.

Harris County coronavirus count: Percentage of COVID-19 positive ICU patients falls below 30%

The percentage has been slowly falling since reaching a high point above 50% in early July, according to data from the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council. Public health officials in Harris County have said they want to see that number below 15%.
