Comix Cafe to bring pop culture hangout to Tomball

Editor’s note: This post has been updated to include Lindsay Stringfield as co-owner.

Owners Darrin and Lindsay Stringfield will open Comix Cafe next month at 27620 Business 249, Ste. A-6, Tomball. A tentative grand opening date is set for May 4—”Star Wars Day” and free comic book day, Darrin Stringfield said. Comix Cafe will combine the retired internet cafe concept with the outdated comic shop concept to bring the Tomball community a revitalized pop culture hangout spot, he said. The shop will offer comic books, table games, card games, coffee, and freshly baked pastries and sweets.

“If you truly are not into the pop culture scene, the coffee, sweets and atmosphere are just as enjoyable,” Stringfield said in an email.
