Sandlewood Manor, a wedding and events venue, will open in November at 22402 Holly Creek Trail, Tomball. Co-owner Lauren Sparks said the property spans 27 acres, featuring a manor house, chapel, pond, pecan orchard, horse stables, a century-old home, and a pool and outdoor cocktail area.

The chapel and a 10,000-square-foot ballroom with a commercial kitchen are under construction on the property. The home on the property is being renovated to offer groom's quarters, featuring pool tables, a bar and kitchen as well as other amenities, Sparks said. Other indoor amenities include a bridal suite, hair and makeup station, three suites for overnight accommodations, a theater room for overnight guests, a common area, and a mahogany-walled study serving as a wine and cigar lounge.

The venue can accommodate up to 400 guests with indoor and outdoor options available for both weddings and corporate events. The business is accepting bookings beginning in November and giving tours of the property.

Sandlewood Manor also is home to two horses, the granddaughter and great-granddaughter of Secretariat—a famed American racehorse, Sparks said. The business, co-owned by Sparks, her husband, Shawn, as well as Tina and Darryl Kennedy, offers clients an in-house ballroom dance instructor and certified nutritionist.

In addition to the venue, Sparks said Sandlewood Manor also has a ministry component called "Love for a Lifetime." She said the business seeks to encourage and help married couples after their wedding day with marriage workshops and date nights. 281-466-9487. www.sandlewoodmanor.com
