A new Children's Lighthouse Learning Center is coming to 15013 Voss Road, Sugar Land, this winter. The center will host 11,200 square feet of indoor learning space, situated on a 1.89-acre site, to provide outdoor learning and play areas for children ages 6 weeks-12 years. The center will be able to accommodate about 200 children, and after-school programs and summer camps will be available as well.

The building will be complete with computerized building entry, security monitoring and a kitchen as well as transportation to and from area elementary schools. Children's Lighthouse implements its Lighthouse C.A.R.E.S. curriculum that focuses on intellectual development, social and emotional growth, and hands-on learning through content emphasizing phonics, reading, math, science and social studies.

There are 50 operational Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers nationwide, and Sugar Land is one of 30 new centers in development or under construction. The Fort Worth-based company launched 24 years ago and offers franchising opportunities. Harveen and Puneet Wahi and Glenice and Savio Saldhanha are the franchise owners for the upcoming Sugar Land location. 832-356-7360.
