The Spring Fire Department has taken its first step in the development of a multi-purpose complex and training center.

On July 2, the Spring Fire Department and Harris County Emergency Services District No. 7 signed documents acquiring over 50 acres of land at the undeveloped northeast corner of Louetta and Lexington roads in Spring.

The property is the future site of a multipurpose complex that will include the W.W. “Cotton” Weaver Training Center. Wilbur Weaver, a former fire chief and 65-year volunteer with the department, was on hand for the signing.
