In-N-Out Burger is planning to open its first north Houston restaurant on FM 1960, pending development approval. The opening date has not yet been determined.

"We do have a site we are working on in Houston located along FM 1960 at Willowbrook Mall, although the project is still in the early stages," Carl Arena, In-N-Out Burger's vice president of real estate and development, said in an email. "While we’re really enthusiastic about the site and the opportunity to locate in this vibrant area of Houston, ... we’re still early in the process so it would be premature to comment on a timeline or if we will even achieve a development approval."

Once construction begins at a new location, Arena said it typically takes five to six months to open the restaurant. If plans comes to fruition, the location at FM 1960 will have one drive-thru lane, indoor seating for up to 70 customers and would employ 50 associates.
