The Harris-Fort Bend Emergency Service District 100 purchased 4.3 acres of land at Beechnut and Peek roads in Richmond in early November. The district is planning to construct its fifth volunteer fire department that will have at least three fire engines to serve the commercial side of the Grand Parkway. The district’s goal is to start construction on the station by the end of 2017. About 125 people volunteer with the entire district. 281-498-8806.
