Bergamos Retreat is building a new addition to its spa at 313 E. Edgewood St., Friendswood. The spa is Italian-inspired and features plunge pools, steam rooms, saunas, therapeutic massages, waxing, facials, manicures, pedicures, skin treatments and eyelash extensions for men and women.

Although Bergamos Retreat previously contracted for an addition, the spa removed the addition and will reconstruct it. Construction begins this month and will run for a year. The spa will remain open for business during construction. 281-992-3775. www.bergamossparetreat.com
