With the help of over 400 volunteers, Pearland’s Dream Dinners packed 70,000 meals for the needy on Sept. 9. About 25,000 of the meals were distributed to Brazosport Cares and into the “little Cambodia” village near Alvin, and the rest of the meals are bound for Haiti to help those affected by Hurricane Matthew, owner Tania Monroy said. The Dream Dinners Foundation supported the event in partnership with Friends and Family Community Connections. www.dreamdinners.com
