St. John XXIII College Preparatory, a private school at 1800 W. Grand Parkway N., Katy, received donated furniture Nov. 16 from the Houston office of Saudi Basic Industries Corp. or, SABIC, a Saudi Arabia-based petrochemicals manufacturer, according to a SABIC press release.

SABIC—which is located at 2500 CityWest Blvd., Ste. 650, Houston, and is considering building a new American headquarters at 23500 Franz Road, Katy—gave gently used surplus desks, bookcases, corner and computer tables, stackable chairs, bookcases and file cabinets to the school. 281-693-1000. www.sj23lions.org
