The Federal Emergency Management Agency has opened a new disaster recovery center in the parking lot of the Richard and Meg Weekley Community Center at 8440 Greenhouse Road, Cypress. The center is open daily from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. with information about disaster assistance programs. Volunteer groups are on-site as well as representatives from FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.
