The Cypress location of TheMET Church at 9690 Fry Road, Cypress, changed its name in March to CyLife Church and is no longer considered a campus of TheMET Church. Officials said the decision was made to give the Cypress church more autonomy and not because of any conflict with TheMET.

Church programming and the church-going experience are not expected to change as a result of the branching, and CyLife Church will continue to work with TheMET Church to serve the community, officials said. Sunday services take place at 8:30, 10 and 11:30 a.m. 281-890-1900. www.cylifechurch.com
