Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting today at Houston’s fifth site of the Seattle-based Best in Class Education Center. Arvinder and Belle Kainth opened the facility in August at 6340 N. Eldridge Pkwy., Ste. I, Houston.

At Best in Class, Arvinder Kainth said critical thinking and problem solving are key focuses, and students’ individual needs are taken into consideration.

“When we talk to parents, a lot of times we’ll hear their child is good at math, but when they read the problem they are lost because English is not their native language,” he said.

Kainth said Best in Class has something to offer children from pre-K through high school.

A class for 3- to 5-year-olds helps prepare children for kindergarten. Math and English enrichment groups and private tutoring is available for both struggling and advanced students. SAT and ACT prep courses get students on the right track for college application season.

“Schools over here are not always teaching what they should be for students to be well-rounded,” he said. “[Best in Class] is a supplemental education program.”

Having signed a three-unit deal to open several Best in Class Education Centers in the Houston area, the Kainths said they are already looking at multiple sites for future expansion.
