The Kolache Bar opened July 23 at 8350 Fry Road, Cypress, and owners are planning a grand opening Aug. 4.

Owner Lisa Sin said the shop is open seven days a week, including from 5 a.m.-noon on weekdays and 6 a.m.-1 p.m. on weekends. The business offers doughnuts, hot and iced lattes, croissant sandwiches and a variety of gourmet kolaches, including chicken enchilada, Philly cheesesteak and The Bomber—a house special made with ground sausage and gravy mixed with bacon and jalapenos.

The grand opening event runs from 6 a.m.-1 p.m. and will include face painting, free mimosas, and $2.99/dozen glazed doughnut specials.
