California-based Dog Haus Biergarten has purchased 0.98 acres of land at 8422 Hwy. 6 N., Houston, according to officials with Retail Solutions, who represented the buyer in the transaction. The land formerly housed an El Rey Taqueria, which closed in July.

Officials with Dog Haus Biergarten said plans for the site are still being determined and no details are available at this point in time. The eatery specializes in gourmet hot dogs, sausage, burgers and craft beer. The company's website indicates another new location is coming soon to the southwest corner of Eldridge Parkway and Enclave Parkway in Houston's Energy Corridor. www.doghaus.com
