The new 19,622 square-foot building will house the hospital including a dedicated area for cats starting in late spring or early summer 2020. Eighteen exam rooms, an expanded boarding area and additional parking spaces will also be included in the project.
Since opening in May 2013, the animal hospital has offered pet services including surgeries, internal medicine, dermatology, dental care, comprehensive laboratory, boarding and grooming.
Dr. Matt Hennessey said the business has grown faster than anticipated due to client referrals and work with rescue organizations. He said once the new building opens, the current facility will primarily be used to expand grooming services.
